Two New Hires Join Viance

Charlotte, N.C. (November 20, 2018) – Viance announces the addition of two new hires, Jonathan Whitehead and Jacob Comer. Jonathan, an experienced sales manager, brings over 17 years of demonstrated experience in the building materials industry to the role of Eastern Region Sales and Business Development Manager. Adding to our Engineering and Technical Services Group is Jacob Comer, with three years of electrical technical experience, in the role of Electrical and Instrumentation Controls Technician. 

Jonathan Whitehead served as domestic and international sales account manager for Cox Industries for the past 11 years with responsibility for all treated fire-retardant lumber sales. Prior to his role with Cox, Jonathan held the post of general manager for Builder’s First Source in Cashier’s, NC for six years. A graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Jonathan earned his Business and Political Science degrees after serving eight years as an infantry combat specialist with the US Marine Corps, where he earned two combat action medals and was promoted meritoriously during combat in Desert Storm.

Brian Delbrueck, Director of Sales, states, “Jonathan’s experience will be key in expanding our business in the residential, commercial and industrial markets in the Midwest and East Coast. His understanding and relationships in this market will drive growth for our key product lines.”

Jacob Comer, Electrical and Instrumentation Controls Technician, will be responsible for managing the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control systems equipment for our customer’s pressure treating plants. Jacob’s experience includes preventative maintenance with Duke Energy’s fossil, hydro and nuclear stations and with other local companies in technical roles.  

Steve Furr, the Director of Engineering and Technical Service, said, “With his background in electrical engineering technology, Jacob will be an asset to our customers in keeping their plants running efficiently, enabling maximum production output.
